This criminal record and barring checking procedure is specific to recruiters providing non-clinical staff to the NHS.  It is fully compliant with legislation, regulation and NHSE Check Standards.  It is designed to prevent unsuitable people from entering employment through your recruitment agency and gaining access to vulnerable people.  Depending on the job role, non-clinical candidates can require these checks because they are patient facing, or because the role demands criminal record check.  This policy template covers the checks that may be required for non-clinical workers and specifically covers:
