Temporary Staff – University of Huddersfield

Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Supply of temporary staff.

Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The University of Huddersfield would like to invite tenders for the supply of temporary staff. Further details can be found in the PQQ/ITT documents.  Minimum level(s) of standards possibly required: Bidders will be required to conform to the Universities HR policies one of which is payment of the UK Living wage as a minimum to all staff employed or providing a service on campus.

The notice involves the establishment of a framework agreement with a single operator. Limitations on the number of operators who will be invited to tender or to participate: Envisaged minimum number 4: and maximum number 6

Objective criteria for choosing the limited number of candidates:

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of HE/FE sector 60 %;
  • Training facilities available to prepare prospective candidates 20 %;
  • Ability to supply staff at short notice 20 %.

Award criteria: The most economically advantageous tender in terms of the criteria stated below.

  • Prices Offered. Weighting 50
  • Quality and Service Provision. Weighting 50

Duration of the framework agreement: 5 years. This is classed as a strategically important framework for the University and so to link into strategic planning the contract will be for a 5 year period.

Estimated total value of purchases for the entire duration of the framework agreement: £500,000

Location of service: University of Huddersfield; Queensgate; Huddersfield; HD13DH.

Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate: 12pm, 12th May 2014
