This Contract involves providing temporary agency staff plus any associated personal protective equipment (PPE), as required, to the 6 local councils, 1 unitary council and 1 national park authority as follows:
- Dartmoor National Park
- Mid Devon District Council
- North Devon District Council
- South Hams District Council
- Teignbridge District Council
- Torbay Council (unitary)
- Torridge District Council
- West Devon Borough Council
The requirement is broken down to three (3) categories of temporary staff: office, operations and specialist. It is important to note that it is possible that the specialist category may be broken down further to reflect the nature of the roles required, including but not limited to such disciplines as finance, legal, environmental health, finance and social work (the provision of Qualified Social Workers is a requirement of this Contract).
This Contract is being procured in lots:
- Lot one (1) shall be for those Applicants wishing to become a master vendor; and
- Lot two (2) shall be for those Applicants wishing to become an individual service provider.
Applicants may bid to provide this Contract as a master vendor for the whole Contract (all participating Contracting Authorities) or for a specific participating Contracting Authority or number of Authorities or Applicants may bid to provide elements of the Contract as an individual service provider for a specific participating Contracting Authority or number of Authorities or for a specific category (or categories) of staff.
The participating Contracting Authorities reserve the right to award against either lot one (1), lot two (2) or both depending upon their particular needs or the entire Contract may be awarded against lot one (1) only where it can be demonstrated that this option will deliver the best value for money for all participating Contracting Authorities.
The contract is estimated to start on 29th July 2013.
