Provision of Temporary Agency Staff for Waste Management Services. The Council wishes to award a two year agreement to a suitable recruitment agency who will be able to supply suitably trained LGV drivers and cleansing operatives to meet the Council’s temporary staff requirements in delivering the waste management service. It is envisaged that there will be an option to extend for a further year.
Award is due to take place early January 2014 or soon after with the contract commencing (with service delivery) as soon as suitable works become available after that date.
The main provisions of the contract will be the provision of:
- A managed service with dedicated contact
- Provision of suitably trained staff to deliver the role required
- Provision of staff often at short notice and typically in the early morning (6.30am)
The Waste Management department is responsible for the delivery of refuse, recycling, green waste collection services and also street cleansing services.
The indicative requirements are 2 full time drivers per week and 2 cleansing operatives per week. The Council will not guarantee any minimum or maximum requirement as demands fluctuate.
Contract duration: 2 years with the option to extend for a further 1 year.
