The awarding authority is acting on behalf of the Government Finance Profession to procure consultancy for recruitment of professionally qualified accountants and part qualified accountants. The first recruitment under this contract may be open to advert in September 2013 and therefore initial activity to plan the exercise, design, advertising, set up a microsite etc. Previously, recruitment has mainly been by individual departments, with two joined-up exercises led by DWP. There is a need to put in place an initial contract for one year with the option to extend for a further twelve months up to a maximum of three years. This contract is to recruit to the Government Finance Profession. It will be let and managed by DWP but other government departments will have access to it, and indeed there could be exercises that take place that DWP does not itself recruit through.
Interested parties should note that this requirement is categorised as a Part B service, hence does not fall under the full EU regulations. Publication is for the department to meet its transparency obligations and in the spirit of good practise for Public Sector Procurement.
Main site or location of works, main place of delivery or main place of performance: London, however it is expected that the successful bidder will be able to provide recruitment services across a wide geographical dimensions to include Leeds, Warrington and Sheffield.
Contract Value: Up to £400,000
Contract Duration: 1 year with the option to extend for a maximum of 2 x 12 months (i.e. up to 3 years)
