This safeguarding vulnerable groups policy template details how the agency will ensure the safety and security of children, vulnerable persons that its staff/temporary workers come into contact with. It details of the safeguards that are in place to protect them and also covers the practices and reporting procedures that should be followed in the event that any form of abuse or neglect is suspected and is essential for all recruitment agencies supplying staff who will have exposure to vulnerable groups in healthcare settings.

The policy has been written in alignment with requirements for supplying healthcare professionals throughout England and Wales. It is not suitable for supply in Scotland or Northern Ireland where the terminology and procedures must align with the Care Inspectorate and RQIA respectively.
PLEASE NOTE: This policy is designed for use with recruitment agencies supplying staff to a wide range of hospital and care home settings, but is not suitable for domiciliary care agencies.
