Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Grwp Gwalia Cyf is a leading provider of social housing, support and care in South and Mid Wales managing high quality, affordable housing and meeting the needs of a broad and diverse range of people in the community.
Gwalia Care and Support (GCS) work in partnership with people to make positive changes in their lives. They are focused on forming constructive relationships with people that empower them to maximise their independence and involvement in their community. Working as part of Grwp Gwalia, they provide a range of housing, support and care services which actively ensure that people who use our services gain a real enjoyment from living in their homes. Care and Support want to be responsive to the people’s needs and be creative and flexible in the way they provide our services to ensure good quality and value.
Grwp Gwalia intends to establish a Contract with a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor(s) for the provision of Agency Care Staff as and when required. It is envisaged that the Contract will assist in the care and support of individuals, enhancing their wellbeing and quality of life.
This contract will be split into 5 separate Lot(s). Tenderers may be submitted for one or more lots:
Lot No: 5
Lot title: Nursing Care
Short description: This is the delivery of care within a residential nursing home setting. Nursing care is delivered to people with complex physical and mental health needs
The requirement for Nursing Care, at this time is only required at one of Gwalia sites:
- Mynydd Mawr, Carmarthenshire.
Lot No: 4
Lot title: All Wales Support
Short description: All Wales Support including Supported Living, Floating Support and Day Care
Quantity or scope: This Lot covers the following areas:
- South Wales
- Mid Wales
- West Wales
- East Wales
Lot No: 3
Lot title: Residential Care
Short description: This is care provided in a registered residential setting which provides 24 hour care to residents of the Home. Care staff must understand the nature of residential care and the National Minimum Standards expected. The Homes primarily support Older People.
There are also dedicated units for people with a dementia and also for adults with a Physical Disability. Staff provide help with all aspects of personal care and medication.
